Playing in Ice!

All the snow from the last few days froze over and the entire dog park was covered in ice! Although it wasn't as fun as playing in snow, I still had a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of me and my friends on ice!

I'm officially declaring my humans as pupparazzis. It's a hard life being a sibe!

A Christmas Poem

My sister found this poem on petloverstips blog today, and I thought that it would be nice to share it with all my furriends. Instead of asking for a big fancy Christmas present this howliday season, I'm asking my humans to donate to a shelter so that homeless dogs (and cats) can be warm and have full tummies. This decision was inspired by my furriend Khyra!

A Christmas Shelter Dog’s PoemShelter Dog

’Tis the night before Christmas and all through the town,
every shelter is full—we are lost, but not found.

Our numbers are hung on our kennels so bare,
we hope every minute that someone will care.

They’ll come to adopt us and give us the call,
“Come here, Max and Sparkie — come fetch your new ball!”

But now we sit here and think of the days
we were treated so fondly — we had cute, baby ways.

Once we were little, then we grew and we grew.
Now we’re no longer young and we’re no longer new.

So out the back door we were thrown like the trash.
They reacted so quickly — why were they so rash?

We “jump on the children,” “don’t come when they call,”
we “bark when they leave us,” “climb over the wall.”

We should have been neutered, we should have been spayed,
now we suffer the consequence of the errors THEY made.

If only they’d trained us, if only we knew,
we’d have done what they asked us and worshiped them, too.

We were left in the backyard, or worse, let to roam.
Now we’re tired and lonely and out of a home.

They dropped us off here and they kissed us goodbye…
“Maybe someone else will give you a try.”

So now here we are, all confused and alone
in a shelter with others who long for a home.

The kind workers come through with a meal and a pat,
with so many to care for, they can’t stay to chat.

They move to the next kennel, giving each of us cheer…
we know that they wonder how long we’ll be here.

We lay down to sleep and sweet dreams fill our heads
of a home filled with love and our own cozy beds.

Then we wake to see sad eyes, brimming with tears –
our friends filled with emptiness, worry, and fear.

If you can’t adopt us and there’s no room at the inn –
could you help with the bills and fill our food bin?

We count on your kindness each day of the year –
can you give more than hope to everyone here?

Please make a donation to pay for the heat…
and help get us something special to eat.

The shelter that cares for us wants us to live,
and more of us will, if more people will give.

Rearranging the furniture

I thought the couch was in need of a little redecorating, so I decided to help my humans by doing it all by myself.

After doing all that work, I was so tired that I had to take a nap! And of course, my humans were there to capture the moment.

Snow!

It finally snowed!!! I was so happy when my human brother took me to the doggie park and it started snowing! It didn't snow much, but I'm still furry happy! Too bad my brother didn't take any pictures...I'll tell him to bring a camera if there's still snow at the park tomorrow.

There's a Wolf in the House!!

Well...not a REAL wolf. My mommy says she won't bring home a real wolf for me to play with. But my sister "adopted" a wolf family by donating to the Defenders of Wildlife organization's Adopt a Wolf program. She says that a lot of wolves and cubs are being killed by hunters who shoot at them from airplanes. Although it was outlawed a long time ago, a new law may make it legal for hunters to kill wolves again. My sister was really angry because she says that some humans can be so greedy...she says hunters in Alaska kill wolves so that humans can have more moose and caribou for themselves. I don't really know what a moose and caribou is, but I think all wolves in Alaska can use our help. Maybe woo can ask for a donation to the wolves instead of a Christmas gift! If woor human can help, ask them to go to this website:

Wildlife Adoption and Gift Center

I've also posted a short video that explains aerial hunting on the sidebar of my blog.

Thanks everypuppy!

Upset Tummy

I hope everypuppy had a woonderful Thanksgiving with lots and lots of treats from their humans. I would've updated sooner, but I had an upset tummy on Friday and Saturday, which prevented me from getting on the computer. I'm almost all better now, so I'm back!

It was raining all day today so I couldn't go to the doggy park =( So I've been helping around the house like my friends Steve and Kat! Here's me helping my sister do the dishes.

My mommy thought it would be really funny to make me wear a "jacket" like her...while I was trying to sleep! Very funny, haha.

Since I couldn't go out to play, my sister and I played with my Night Wubba! Look at how the camera made it look all cool!

My humans are complaining all the time about how it's so "cold" outside. I don't know what they're talking about, but I thought it was supposed to snow when it's "cold"? Where's the snow?? I'm still waiting!!
