Calling for Treat Recipes!

Finally, my WOOing for more variety in my food has gotten through to my human sister. She has decided to look into making me my own treats at home, so that I won't have to eat the same things every day! I never thought I would get this idea through to them! So, I'm calling for any of woor favorite treat recipes that woor humans make for woo! My human likes things very simple...preferably requiring no ovens since she has a tendancy to burn things. Sometimes humans can be so silly...

We posted our favorite treat in July. It requires the oven though...

Our mom makes the easiest treats, but it requires a dehydrator (she says you can pick one up fairly cheap at walmart or similar). Just have her slice some chicken breast, duck, venison, cheap steak, or just about anything you like and lay the slices on your magic food dryer. A few hours later, presto! Homemade jerky with no additives or preservatives. Depending on how often your mom treats you and how much she makes, they can be frozen until you need them.

Mama also wants to know if we can link to your page from our blog?

Glad you liked the magic food dryer idea, our mom makes us homemade chicken jerky all the time, and venison whenever she can get her paws on it.
We've added your link to our blog, feel free to do the same if you like.
Enjoy the jerky!

P.S. Just a hint...if you slice the meat while it's still slightly frozen it's easier to slice uniform thickness and much easier to handle.
The best way to get the most bang for your buck and fastest drying time is if you slice as thin as possible.

Hey Hero, check this out: the rescue that my people and I volunteer for has a dog treat recipe book! You can see it at www.nbrescue.com.
